Bob needs to learn exactly what to look for to determine which productis really the best. These 3 keys will help you choose a supplement that will give you your money's worth. Key #1: Raw numbers The first thing you can check (and probably the easiest) is to check the raw numbers on the product label. How much of the active ingredient is in the product? How many miligrams of a particular nutrient? If the information is not on the label, contact the manufacturer. They may have the data to send you. Key #2: Are the numbers lying? They say that numbers don't lie. That isn't true in this case. The raw numbers can actually be very deceptive. Here's why: many nutrients are very fragile, and easily destroyed. You need to find out if the product is proccessed and handled in a manner that all the nutrients are still there when you swallow it. In other words, you want your supplement to contain all of the nutrients when you swallow it that the label says it did in the lab where it was tested. It can be pretty tough to figure out whether a product meets this criteria or not. The best way to do this is to find out if the manufacturer has done studies to determine if the product is just as effective off the shelf as it was in the lab. Key #3: Are the nutrients absorbable? Once you have determined if the product you are considering buying still has all of it's nutrients in it when you buy it, you need to find out if your body can absorb the nutrients that are in the products. There are two pretty simple ways to do this: 1) Find out if there is a scientific study on the absorbability of the product, 2) Find out if the nutrients in the product are still in their natural form. Just having the nutrients in a food base won't work. The nutrients need to be in their original form. If you use these three keys when choosing a nutritional supplement, I promise you that you'll be able to better choose the product that's truly the best.
