Before meeting them, your mind has already started working. You would find it tough to sit there without smoking. You would start feeling miserable and weak. You will become frustrate by these thoughts. Finally, you will start smoking. One can easily conclude that mind was the only thing that had prompted you in taking up smoking again.

Along with the diversion, it need positive outlook on quitting smoking. Never feel that life will be miserable without smoking, or it is impossible to quit smoke.

Now, handle the same situation in this manner. You are going to meet your friends. Your mind will start working as usual. However, try to think positively. You should consider it big achievement, if you do not smoke with your friends. Never feel that life would be miserable, if you have not smoked. On the contrary, think that you are blessing a healthy life to you, as well as your family. You are able to breathe fresh air, after quitting smoking.

If you are unable to resist the temptation at your friend's place then do not go there. It would be better for you to avoid that place. Try to do something creative that will divert your mind completely.

Think about your kids. Take your family for a long drive. The quality time that you spent with them was more precious then wasting it by smoking with your friends. You will find that you were actually making yourself a fool by indulging in smoking activity.

Whenever your urge for smoke grows, only think about its bad effects upon you. The smoke has made you its slave. But, you have to overcome this slavery and quit smoking at any cost, as smoking is costing you a lot.
